Stevenson, Dougal
He went to school and university in Dunedin and joined the N.Z.B.C. as an announcer. He was associated with the television network news since he read the first network bulletin on 3 November 1969 .
For some time he was a television reporter in Dunedin and in 1966 joined the “Compass” team in Wellington, as a reporter.
He went on to be a regular newreader as well as hosting Krypton Factor and The Motor Show.
In 2007 he featured on Radio New Zealand's National Programme - Sunday Mornings every second week around 9.30 am. He appeared in the NZ film In My Father's Den as a news reporter. Check out his life history and an interview.
