Beginning a few weeks before the outbreak of war in August 1914, this mini-series follows the landing at Gallipoli in April 1915, the disastrous assault on Chunik Bair and eventual evacuation of Gallipoli in December 1915-through the eyes of New Zealand soldiers, officers, medical staff and family back home!
New Zealand had one of the highest living standards in the world, was part of the mighty British Empire but few could foresee the horrors soon to come!
