Directed by Yvonne Mackay and written and produced by Dave Gibson, Clare is a 92-minute telefeature that tells the true story of a woman who took on the New Zealand medical establishment.

For fifteen years Clare Matheson attended National Women's Hospital in Auckland where she was unwittingly part of a study that would become known as 'The Unfortunate Experiment'.

When she was eventually diagnosed by a private specialist as having cervical cancer she began a fight that would end in a nine month public inquiry headed by Dame Sylvia Cartwright.

Based on Clare Matheson's book, Fate Cries Enough, Clare is a powerful and uplifting story of one woman's fight for justice. Clare features Robyn Malcolm in the title role and John Bach as Dr Herbert Green.
