Hunter, Keith
Was the Auckland-based Saturday reporter. A graduate in music, in 1972 he listed his previous employment as encyclopaedia salesman, Public Service clerk and unemployed. He joined the N.Z.B.C. as a current affairs trainee in 1966, working initially as a researcher for Town and Around. The following year he moved into radio current affairs, interviewing and scripting for local programmes. By 1971 he was also working parttime on Journal and his documentary on the secondhand car market won him a Feltex award. </cite
This year he has been involved with Journal, This Day, and later episodes of the radio programme Māori for Beginners. A part-time professional musician, Keith had been principal trumpet with the Symphonia of Auckland since 1965.
